A Little Fae-ness.....

Well, after a fun fae-filled party in which I wore a cute little number by Delora Starbrook of Haven Designs, I realized it was too good of an outfit to not blog! So I introduce Attica! An outfit perfect for fae, or humans who just like to hide in the forest...and look a bit dangerous.......*grins evilly*

Delora always uses beautiful textures and comes up with some of the most fun designs that can range anywhere in either roleplay or mainstream or theme parties or well.......you get the idea. Attica comes with a cute top tied aroudn the body, a skirt designed to look handmade with leaves and scarves, and a cute demi-cloak with additional leaves for accents. Add in the woven leaf bracelets and anklets, and the outfit is complete, ready to help anyone blend into a earthy, forestry scene.

Attica comes in six different colors, besides the green I am wearing for the shoot, there is black, brown, indigo, pink and red. As always, her clothes are mod, making adjusting for your body frame and style very easy. Plus if you are a member of her update group, there's a discount involved in it for you!!!!

Jadxia..No, Seriously!

I speak no lie! The beautiful dress is from Sakinah, another one of Syngen's creations, and one she decided had to be named for me.....insert HUGE blush here.......So how can I not blog about my dress??

The story behind this dress is rather simple. Needing a fun break from Gor and it's rigidity, we decided to create a small roleplay area, loosely based on the Mists of Avalon series. We made it a freeform rp area, no real rules except to respect one another, and just have fun roleplaying. Complete with an area for those humans, and one for us more magical beings. Well, in the idea brainstorming phase, Syngen created this beautiful dress, one that is, as the sim, loosely based off the Mists of Avalon, with her own middle eastern flair. Gods, I love her stuff!

Rich, gorgeous, luxurious colors, available in blue, black, cream and red. Syngen's signature skirt that flows so naturally I can stare at it for hours. Arm ties for the daringly cut sleeves, deep neck and back lines, the same intricate detail you always can expect from a Sakinah creation.

And just for all of you still in Gor: As always, I found a way to "Gor it up" for you! Add in an undershirt of your choice (I chose Dream Fantasia's Gem-Toned Undershirts) and play with the coloring a bit to match the dress, I went with a darker bronze. Add a veil...and a hood if you want .....again, I went with Dream's Scripted Veil set.....and tada ........you are fit for Gor!

And while you could say I am a bit biased with this dress, the truth still applies...Syngen has once more captured the beauty in fabric and textures that very few can......

Shoe Fair 2010 and a Change of Paths...

Ok, so the blog has a new name, and a new path to travel down. As I am no longer fully immersed in Gorean roleplay except for the occassional foray, I still wanted a way to highlight my favorite Gorean designers, and be able to blog about some of their more mainstream and their other designs in non-Gorean roleplay clothing. Plus....I had another blog talking and giving out my tips for survival in the RL, like kids happy snacks and drinks and such. And well, my goal this year has been to simply my life. Look at it deeply, slim down and trim down what I can and live a simply happier life so I can do all the things I love to do, without feeling rushed or guilty if something slacked.....

So here came Cookies & Roleplay!

Why Cookies? Well, meet me once, or talk to my friends, and the best prescription I have for everything is cookies.....even in Second Life. And Roleplay, well simply cause I still roleplay. I love roleplay, and that will never disappear out of my life.

So the name just created itself: Cookies & Roleplay.....

Now, Shoe Fair 2010! I went, I saw, I loved, and I am not even a shoeaholic! However, the thing is I am not a shoeaholic...but when you go, you HAVE to go by Zaara, her new shoes, a required buy! And great slippers for a Gorean Free Woman....I'll blog about that later.....

Delora Starbrook, with the help of my friend Syngen and others, created an awesome, rustic 4 sim complex of American Heartland. Barns and silos....bails of hay and milkcans. Believe me, sooo worth the trip. The Shoe Fair this year donates to Soles4Souls ( http://www.soles4souls.org/ ) which is a wonderful organization that for one US dollar, can provide a new or gently worn pair of shoes to those in need.

So please, even if you arent a shoeaholic, go to the Shoe Fair, and if you dont spend all you budgeted for shoe purchases, find one of those awesome milkcans and dump the rest of the Lindens in. Because while we can buy plenty of shoes in Second Life, there are way too many people in RL who cant purchase even one pair for themselves, much less an avatar.
