Uniquely Colorful

There are a wide range of camisks and slutty clothes to choose from these day, colors and design range the rainbow, from tattered cloth to flashly glowy silks. And while the larger stores are always a favorite, fun to see what they will come out with next, sometimes you find that small, hole in the wall store, that just makes you gasp in excitement. And you have to wonder, "How did I not find this before!"

So was my reaction when on the advice of my Master's Lady, I entered the shop of the Virgin Harlot, featuring the creations of Ceri Kesten. Most people know her for her creations of oddities, like blood splatteed butcher's aprons, and the Lady Jax's ink splotched cheek. But Kajirae! You have to, have to check out her clothes!

First up: Jayde! This camisk with a simple belt is colorful and the design simply stunning as it mixes a brightness with a bit of ethnic decorative flair.

The mix of colors you see here are exciting, and are something that has become a trademark for her clothing.

The next one up is one similar in the style of Jayde and that is Joclyn. Again, nice bright colors with a hint of ethnic design to bring out the style and colors in the camisk.

Gorgeous coloring and design. Can't help it, even a smaller chest kajira like me can look like I have just enough bosom in a camisk from the Virgin Harlot! And the shading draws a Master's eye to all the right spots! *winks*

See, I had soooo much fun in the Virgin Harlot, I just couldn't pick one outfit to feature. Luckily, with the coin the Lady Jax entrusted to me, instead of getting one outfit, I was able to pick up several! Being rich is not a requirement to shop at the Virgin Harlot, especially this beauty, Love, which I found for 25L!

Beautiful pinks, coaxing any kajira to happily hop out of the caste colors of her Master and wear something a bit more eye catching and daring!

Love will guarentee that you will fall in love with the Virgin Harlot the moment you walk in! Take a hop on down!

Comfy Nights

While a Free Woman stay properly dressed all day, when at home at night, whether Companioned or not, in the safety of her home and her room, there exists a chance to lighten the load of clothing. Now most Gorean designers either do dresses for the Free Woman or the wild range of rags and styles for the kajirae, with a rare smattering of option for the men. But in a stroke of luck, Dream Fantasia of Fantasia has designed the perfect nightgown for the Free Woman: Nightfall.

Long flowing slender skirts that come up to just below the chest, a sharp V plunging neckline, elbow length wide sleeves and strong colors make this nightgown just right for coaxing that Companion to come do his duty for providing children for the Homestone......

...... or for a simple night of reading.......

This nightgown can also be easily turned into a day dress for the Free Woman, by simply adding Fantasia's color change veil & hood set and the jewel-toned undershirt set! Nightfall has all the makings of being a vital piece to any Free Woman's wardrobe!

Traveling Free

Tis a common concept that the Free Women of Gor were safer within the walls of their own homes and cities, though at times, depending on the reason, the Free Woman finds herself in a position of needing to travel. This would be either to find a new home, or meet with other Merchants, attend a Faire, any such reason would present the need for clothes other then normally worn by the woman. Which is why it is always wonderful to have that set or two of traveling gear: decent, modest, covering everything as much as can be, and in some situations, disguising the real woman beneath the veils....

This week features one of my favorite creators, Syngen Sohmers of Sakinah, and her newest creation Inaya. Syn has been one of my favorite designers for a long time, specializing in medieval/roleplay clothing as well as modest, modern clothing for the Second Life Muslima.

Inaya sits on the fence, really working well in both worlds, requiring only a veil to complete the transition to the closet of a pretentious Free Woman, traveling along the roads, searching her path in the rough world.

The  Inaya creation comes with the standard shirt, pants, and skirt along with a perfectly sculpted hood, a scarf that works beautifully to add the layered look both on the front and the back of the torso with fringe you truly expect to catch drifting with the winds, and bracelet sets designed to match the silver belt detailed on the front of the skirt.

One of the things I have always loved about Sakinah creations is the slim line skirts, a definite improvement over the fluffy ballgown skirts that were previously the only option available to the Free Women of SL Gor. The skirt of Inaya follows the same lines, slim, perfectly flowing, and always determined to make me sit and watch the swirl of the skirts. I swear, Syngen does it on purpose, it is mesmerizing, they flow so damn naturally!

As always, Syngen knocks it out of the park, creating one more perfect dress to add to any Free Woman's closet. One can never go wrong with Sakinah!
